Corporate social responsibility and eco-design
CSR and eco-design are two key pillars of our company, and are incorporated into all processes via our environmental, societal and social policies. Our staff is specially trained to calculate the carbon footprint of each of our projects in order to reduce impacts as much as possible and to continuously improve. We carefully study each project's design with the aim of minimising its energy consumption.
As part of this approach, we are certified EcoVadis Silver and committed to ISO 26000 standards. We only work with suppliers who meet our criteria, being both people and environmentally friendly. All of our suppliers are located less than 900 km from our base in Avrillé, which ensures minimal CO2 emissions in the delivery of our raw material.
LGC is also committed at the local level, promoting technical and professional training for various market players (schools, public institutions, etc.)

Work life

We value the well-being and involvement of our employees, which in turn contributes to cooperation and creativity. For example, we have set up a relaxation area where employees can strengthen their relationships.
At LGC, we promote the professional development of our employees by valuing their skills and development.
Each new employee goes through a personal integration phase with dedicated mentoring.
This integration phase is tailor-made based on each employee's skills in order to best support our new talents.
To assess QWL and attachment to the company, we measure turnover day-to-day - in the last 3 years, it has fallen below 5%.
At LGC, we believe that valuing the well-being and professional development of our employees is essential.
We plan to build our future positioning LGC Industries as the market reference in machining, bar turning and fastening systems, moving forward together to continue achieving excellence.

The LGC method
The APQP quality process, an example of compliance
APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) is a collaborative project management method that makes it possible to plan and manage the quality of products throughout their life cycle, from design to large-scale production.
The APQP approach is essential to guarantee the quality of the products and projects that we co-develop with our design department. It offers crucial reassurance for our clients and is the foundation for a lasting relationship of trust with our suppliers.
This tool is one of our internal conditions for OEMs and Tier 1 companies.
Thanks to this method, we can design or modify products and get your industrial projects right the first time while maximising customer satisfaction.

Plan and define
Advanced planning of technical analyses and the project. Feasibility assessment through FMECA, which is used to analyse failure modes, their impacts and their criticality.
Prototyping
Our project team creates prototypes using a 3D printer and simulation software such as SOLIDWORKS and SpaceClaim.
Product validation
Manufacturing initial samples for medium volume production, then validating production through PPAP according to IATF 16949 standards.
Production
Large-scale production is carried out in line with the process validated by a multidisciplinary team, based on a production monitoring plan.
Assessment & improvement
After 3 to 6 months of large-scale production, an assessment based on IATF 16949 standard criteria will evaluate the project for 100% compliance.
Continuous improvement at LGC

Our quality and continuous improvement teams incorporate lean manufacturing principles into all company processes. Particular attention is paid to the idea of continuous improvement, ensuring that the collective is a key part in performance.
Continuous improvement is made possible by our tendency to ask questions and by our guiding principle “get it right on the first shot and avoid any frills”.
Our performance indicators are the following:
IPM: 3PPM in 2022
95% customer retention in 2022
LGC and all employees are committed to the success and upholding of our standards, informed by 5S, Kaizen, TPM, visual management and lean manufacturing methods.
