An overmolded insert is a cylindrical part or part with a hexagonal or prismatic profile, obtained by successive turning operations. These operations aim to obtain a very precise external profile such as knurling, grooves, as well as internal tapping. Thus, the insert can be overmolded into a plastic component in order either to reinforce it and or to allow the assembly of a second component using a screw that will join into the tapping of the insert.
